TV corner

I am not sure this one is complete or not,It was rather late at night and i left for bed leaving the painting.Next morning I am very happy with what it looked like
and I dont want to mess it to "finish".I am always awed by work of Benard Dunsten who left his work at such a stage yet absolute completeness.I have mentioned on my website..Benard Dunsten is probably my most favorite painter,If anyone has seen his work they know what I mean.

small bedroom

this one is after my son,13 years old drew a picture sitting on the bed what was in front of him.once more there was a revealation, the "seen" in front of you is the best thing to paint.

red guitar

If there was no highlight at the bottom(which is a tube light reflection)there wouldnt be anything worth painting.

catch-up

This is one of my attempt where I was happy with the rather unusualness of composition.there is no specific center of interest or any usual eye holders ,yet the whole thing is pulled together well.

Three is good company

Still life take longer time to paint than you think,It appears like just 3 objects to paint.but the more you observe ,more and more tones and colors and small shapes start catching you.the challange is always to strike a balance between "painterly" and being true to the visual perseption.i guess with this I am equally happy and not happy.

10 pm

This is one of the malaysian steel chairs ; we bought very cheap at an exhibition to use as dinning chairs. Within two months they started showing their characters. Either screw-nails falling out or unbalanced movements. None of us use them too often to sit, but I love to paint em.
